Faculty Fatima Tranquilli, N.C.T.M.B., CMT | Owner | Director | Instructor Fatima brings to the classroom both holistic and clinical approaches. Integrating modern technique and scientific theory with holistic bodywork gives the student the knowledge and foundation to confidently excel in todays marketplace. A graduate of TMTC, Fatima is proficient in advanced Swedish technique, neuromuscular and soft tissue therapy, and energy work. She also runs an active private practice. Laura Rupp, N.C.T.M.B. | Assistant Director | Instructor A massage therapist since 1986, Laura completed the Swedish Massage "pilot" program under Inge Schlobohm, who later would go on to establish TMTC school. Now, with 20 years in the field, and hundreds of continuing education hours to her credit, Laura integrates modalities such as Tragerwork, Myofascial Release, Traditional Thai Massage, and Neuromuscular Massage Therapy into her teaching and practice. Laura served on the Board of the AMTA-NJ Chapter for approximately ten years, holding positions of treasurer, membership chair, and newsletter editor. She is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork since 1993, and has been teaching at TMTC since 2000. When asked what she is most proud of with respect to her massage and teaching career, Laura says: "I love imparting my enthusiasm for our profession to my students, and giving them a keen sense of appropriate professional ethics and boundaries." Pamela Pitts | Instructor Pam is also a graduate of TMTC with years of experience in the field of massage and bodywork therapy. As a Reiki Master, she specializes in energy work with a solid foundation in Therapeutic Swedish and Western technique. Pam contributes enthusiasm, commitment and a true love for her work which is evident in her teaching. We are proud and fortunate to have her as part of our staff. Maren Good | Instructor Maren Good is the owner of Good Scents, Inc., a company specializing in aromatherapy products, is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and Reflexologist, a Certified Practitioner in Acutonics® Sound Healing and a Senior Faculty member with the Kairos Institute of Sound Healing. In addition, Maren currently teaches, massage, reflexology, body mechanics and Acutonics at the Therapeutic Massage Training Center in Westfield, New Jersey. She is a continuing education provider for Acutonics and Aromatherapy approved by the NCBTMB. Maren has been working in the holistic arts for over 30 years, beginning with a form of energy work called Attunement. She also has an extensive background in the corporate world where she developed documentation, training materials and provided leadership skills for management teams for such companies as Intel, Tektronix and American International Group (AIG). Drawing on all of these experiences, Maren brings a rich blend of business acumen and the healing arts to her business, teaching and body work practice. She is dedicated full-time to clients and education. In addition to individual sound sessions, she offers quarterly public gong attunements, bringing the power of the Paiste Planetary gongs to the community. Using essential oils and tuning forks, Maren combines aromatherapy scent and sound with her reflexology and massage sessions to create new dimensions in bodywork. Tony Contreras | Instructor Tony is also a graduate of TMTC with years of experience in teaching and more recently in the medical technology field. He is certified as a phlebotomist and EKG technician and leverages this background in teaching anatomy and physiology. As an avid runner, he concentrates his work on sports massage with a solid foundation in Therapeutic Swedish and deep tissue techniques in his private practice. |
